Has anyone ever said any of these things to you?

"Why do you work such long hours?"
"You’re so irritable – can’t you take a vacation?"
"I’m worried about your weight."
"Please take care of yourself.
"

Here are a few things you can do:

Join a gym.
Exercise reduces risk for heart attack. Exercise makes you feel more energetic, helps you lower your blood pressure, blood cholesterol level and weight.

Lose weight.
Start eating sensibly. Diet affects weight, cholesterol levels and health. Obesity increases the risk of high blood pressure, enlarged heart and congestive heart failure.

Quit smoking.
The risks of smoking are well documented. Smokers are twice as likely as non-smokers to have a heart attack and once they do, more likely to die of that heart attack.

Take up yoga.
It’s relaxing and it’s good exercise. Stress raises blood pressure and over time high blood pressure weakens the heart. Yoga is a stress-buster.

Walk
to work or to the store, take the stairs instead of the elevator, ride a bicycle for short distance errand. Short, regular physical exertion is better than none at all.
