Employers who invest in worksite health promotion programs can see a return of $3-$6 for every dollar invested over a 2-5 year period.
Documented savings are observed in medical costs, absenteeism, worker's comp claims, short- term disability and presenteeism (lower on-the-job efficiency due to employee health problems.)

Coronary Heart Disease is the leading cause of premature, permanent disability in the U.S. labor force, accounting for 20 percent of disability allowances by the Social Security Administration. The American Heart Association estimate of the total cost of cardiovascular disease for 2003 was $352 billion -- more than half that amount, nearly $200 billion, will be attributable to coronary artery disease alone. Approximately 35 percent of that will be direct medical expenses. The remaining cost $120 billion will result from the indirect impact of lost productivity, morbidity and mortality on businesses and families.
HeartCam Wellness Programs are designed to help identify employees or union members at highest risk for heart disease and to further risk stratify through the HeartCam calcium score. With early detection of heart disease with a HeartCam calcium score, employees are motivated to take advantage of corporate health initiatives like health clubs, diet programs, case management, smoking cessation, etc.
HeartCam is an ideal health benefit for corporate executives and employees. Because HeartCam is not covered by most health insurance plans at this time, HeartCam can be offered as a flexible spending option or as an added benefit to your current health plan at the discount corporate rate of $295 per scan (25 scan minimum.)
